The Nigerian Communications Commission is calling upon industry stakeholders to engage with the updated draft regulatory instruments by submitting written feedback and participating in Public Inquiries scheduled to take place in Abuja.
In accordance with its responsibilities under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 (the Act), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has made available for stakeholders’ review the following draft regulatory instruments on its official website www.ncc.gov.ng.
Mr. Reuben Muoka, Director of Public Affairs at NCC, highlighted in a recent public notice the inclusion of the following new draft regulations:
- Telecommunications Networks Interconnection Regulations (as amended)
- Guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators (as amended)
- Guidelines on Dispute Resolution (as amended)
The Commission, as per Section 57 of the Act, has arranged Public Inquiries concerning the aforementioned draft regulatory instruments. These inquiries are scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m. on the specified dates as shown below:
- Telecommunications Networks Interconnection Regulations (as amended): Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
- Guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators (as amended): Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
- Guidelines on Dispute Resolution (as amended): Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Stakeholders interested in providing input are encouraged to submit written feedback and attend the Public Inquiries.
The NCC has designated the Conference Room at its Head Office in Maitama District, Abuja, FCT, as the venue for these Public Inquiries.
