In honor of Eid al-Fitr, PalmPay, Nigeria’s leading fintech platform, is hosting a smartphone giveaway extravaganza where 105 lucky users stand the chance to win either an iPhone 15 Pro or an Infinix Note 40. The event will span from April 10 to April 30, 2024. Every day, 5 fortunate winners will be selected, receiving one iPhone 15 Pro and four Infinix Note 40 smartphones.
To qualify for the opportunity to be one of the 105 winners, PalmPay users must complete a series of tasks within the PalmPay app, including transfers, airtime and data purchases, bill payments, and savings, among others. Users can simply perform any of these financial transactions within the app to enter the promotion.
New users are also eligible to participate by downloading the PalmPay app from either the Google Play Store or the App Store, registering, completing the mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) process, following PalmPay on various social media platforms, and conducting transactions through the app.
Enakeno Umuteme, Head of Marketing Communications at PalmPay, expressed excitement about the initiative, stating that the aim is to reward Nigerians, including Muslim users, with high-end smartphones during Eid al-Fitr as a gesture of appreciation for PalmPay’s user base.
“This bonanza is aimed at rewarding Nigerians, including our Muslim users, with iPhone 15 Pro and Infinix Note 40 smartphones during the Eid al-Fitr. It gives us joy to join our Muslim customers in the celebration of the end of Ramadan with the Eid al-Fitr promo as a token of our appreciation to every PalmPay user”, he stated.
It’s important to note that each user can only win once, and PalmPay considers users identical if they share the same PalmPay account, mobile phone number, device, and identity authentication information such as a valid ID card, National Identification Number (NIN), or Bank Verification Number (BVN).
Winners will be notified during the bonanza period and instructed to visit a designated PalmPay offline office to claim their prizes.
In conjunction with this celebration, the federal government of Nigeria has declared a two-day public holiday on Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10.
PalmPay is dedicated to fostering economic empowerment in Africa and offers a range of secure, user-friendly financial services to everyday Nigerians. Since its launch in Nigeria in 2019 under a Mobile Money Operator license, PalmPay has garnered over 30 million app users, contributing significantly to the country’s cashless payment ecosystem.
