Grammy-winning artist, Burna Boy makes history with groundbreaking performance at Boston Concert

Burna Boy took the stage at the TD Arena in Boston on March 02, 2024 for a sold-out concert as part of this ‘’ I Told Them’ tour. The 20,000-capacity arena was filled to the brim as the superstar delivered an unforgettable performance. During the concert, Burna Boy was honored with a plaque by the Mayor of Boston, commemorating Burna Boy Day in the city.

This concert follows Burna Boy’s historic back-to-back sold-out shows at the Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto, where he became the first African artist to achieve such a feat in the 20,000-capacity Venue. Before his Boston show, Burna Boy also made a stop in Montreal as part of his tour.

Since his breakthrough into the international music scene in 2018 with his hit single ‘YE’, Burna Boy has risen to superstar status, achieving several milestones for Nigerian and African music. Notably, he became the first Nigerian mainstream pop artist to win a Grammy award for his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’. With 10 Grammy nominations, Burna Boy holds the record for the most nominated for a Nigerian artist. Additionally, he is the first African artist to win three consecutive BET Awards, solidifying his place as a trailblazer in the music Industry.
