President Bola Tinubu has returned to Lagos, Nigeria, following his successful diplomatic visits to Paris and London. The President’s plane landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos precisely at 05:13 pm on Tuesday, where he was warmly received by a crowd of enthusiastic supporters and prominent members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State was among those present to extend a warm welcome to the President.

President Tinubu embarked on his first leg of the international journey by traveling to Paris, France, last Friday. His purpose was to attend the summit on ‘A New Global Financing Pact,’ hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit aimed to address global financial challenges and explore innovative approaches to international financing. President Tinubu actively participated in the discussions, offering his insights and ideas to foster global cooperation and development.

After the fruitful summit in Paris, President Tinubu proceeded to London, United Kingdom, for a brief and private visit. His spokesperson, Dele Alake, confirmed this trip in a statement issued last Saturday. Although the details of the visit were not disclosed, it is presumed that President Tinubu engaged in diplomatic exchanges and took advantage of the opportunity to strengthen international relations.

As the Eid-el-Kabir festivities were fast approaching, Nigerians eagerly anticipated President Tinubu’s return. Dele Alake had previously indicated that the President would be back in Nigeria on Tuesday to join in the celebrations scheduled for June 28 and 29, 2023. True to his word, President Tinubu arrived back in Lagos, ready to partake in the joyous occasion.

The atmosphere at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport was electrifying as President Tinubu’s plane touched down. Supporters and well-wishers had gathered in large numbers, donning colorful attire and waving flags in celebration of their leader’s return. Distinguished members of the APC and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu were present, demonstrating their solidarity with President Tinubu.

President Bola Tinubu’s return to Lagos marks his commitment to the welfare and progress of Nigeria. By actively engaging in international affairs and diplomacy, he strives to enhance Nigeria’s standing on the global stage. As the nation prepares for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festivities, President Tinubu’s presence adds to the excitement and unity that characterizes this significant celebration. Nigerians eagerly look forward to joining their President in commemorating this important occasion.
