Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka has been appointed General Manager of MTN Nigeria’s Fixed Broadband Business.
Onyinye is telecommunication, logistics, and education industry veteran with over 23 years of expertise. Her experience encompasses sales, marketing, and customer management, as well as developing go-to-market strategies and maturing new products into revenue-generating machines.
She was the General Manager, of Enterprise Marketing at MTN Nigeria’s Enterprise Business Division before her appointment.
In her previous capacity, she was instrumental in the formation of the Enterprise Business Division, directing national sales operations and driving expansion into new markets. She created and managed profitable business models for high-end enterprise and digital initiatives inside MTN Enterprise Business, which serves SMEs, major corporations, and multinational corporations.
In her new post, she is responsible for providing leadership and setting standards for fixed broadband operations, as well as establishing resources to meet customer needs.
Karl Toriola, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, voiced his faith in Onyinye’s ability in response to his appointment. “We are thrilled to have Onyinye at the helm of our broadband company, and we are convinced that MTN will benefit greatly from her significant expertise and in-depth knowledge of the technology sector,” Toriola noted.
Onyinye holds a Master of Business Administration in general management from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Calabar, Cross River State. She has completed executive education in leadership and business strategies with Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, Columbia Business School and the Lagos Business School. She is also a member of the Forbes Business Development Council.
